The extended family of Electrical Engineering alumni from the Faculty of Engineering at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) held a Halal Bihalal and Alumni Reunion in Jakarta on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The event served as a gathering that brought together alumni across generations, from older graduates to younger alumni.
The event was attended by Edy Surahmad (Director of Student Affairs and Alumni at UNDIP) and Abdul Syakur (Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T., M.T., IPU) as Deputy Director for Student Affairs and Alumni. The presence of these leaders demonstrated the institution’s full support for strengthening the alumni network.
Interestingly, the event was also attended by alumni from various graduating classes; in fact, the oldest alumnus present was from the class of 1967. Additionally, alumni from the Electrical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNDIP, class of 1990, were present, including Benny Ohorella and Widodo.
The atmosphere of camaraderie grew even warmer when Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T., M.T., IPU, had the opportunity to showcase his talent by performing entertaining campursari songs for the participants. This performance fostered a sense of closeness and strengthened the bonds among alumni.
Through this event, it is hoped that closer communication will be established between alumni and their alma mater, and that opportunities for collaboration will open up, contributing tangibly to the future development of the UNDIP Department of Electrical Engineering.
