ICITACEE 2026: 13th International Conference Attended by Participants from 12 Countries, Themed Smart, Secure, and Sustainable Technologies

The 13th International Conference on Information Technology, Computer, and Electrical Engineering (ICITACEE) 2026 was attended by participants from 12 countries with 109 selected papers and three international keynote speakers.

In his welcome speech as General Chair, Dr. Maman Somantri, S.T., M.T. expressed gratitude and appreciation to the entire organizing committee for their hard work in making this conference a success. He conveyed his pride that ICITACEE 2026 succeeded in attracting broad participation from the international academic community.

Participation from 12 Countries

The conference received research contributions from participants in 12 countries, including authors from 11 countries outside Indonesia, namely Turkey, India, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, the United States, and others. In total, there are 109 research papers to be presented at the conference, the result of a rigorous selection process with an acceptance rate of 52%. Each accepted paper has been carefully reviewed by invited reviewers using selective criteria.

Three International Keynote Speakers

ICITACEE 2026 features three international keynote speakers who are leading experts in their respective fields:

  1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Francisco Cruz (University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia)
Presenting a lecture titled “Explainable Robotic Systems in Reinforcement Learning Scenarios,” discussing the importance of robotic systems capable of explaining their decision-making process in a human-like manner, particularly in reinforcement learning scenarios within human-robot interaction. Dr. Cruz obtained his PhD from the University of Hamburg, Germany (2017) in developmental robotics, and currently serves as Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Robotics at UNSW Sydney since 2022, while also leading the Autonomous Agents and Robotics Research (A2R2) group.
  2. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Teddy Surya Gunawan (International Islamic University Malaysia)
Presenting a lecture titled “Attention Is a Purchase, Not a Gift: Selection, Physics, and Uncertainty in Deep Visual Perception,” critically examining the hidden costs behind attention mechanisms in deep learning — from data requirements and computational latency to often-untested confidence levels, with case studies on small drone detection and atmospheric turbulence mitigation. Prof. Gunawan graduated cum laude in Electrical Engineering from ITB (1998), earned his PhD from the University of New South Wales, Australia (2007), and has been a Senior Member of IEEE since 2012. He is listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing by Elsevier (2023 and 2024).
  3. Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gede Darma Putra, S.Kom., M.T. (Udayana University, Bali)
Presenting a lecture titled “From Integrated Hospital System to National Healthcare Ecosystem, Powering the Future with Medical AI,” discussing the transformation of healthcare systems from integrated hospital systems toward a connected national healthcare ecosystem linked with the SATUSEHAT initiative and BPJS Kesehatan, as well as the role of Medical AI in improving clinical services and hospital operations. Prof. Darma Putra is the creator of Katelia Core, an enterprise-scale integrated hospital system that has been implemented in various hospitals across Indonesia.

Dr. Maman Somantri also expressed his gratitude to all participants who submitted their excellent research papers to take part in ICITACEE 2026. He expressed hope that the conference would run smoothly and bring substantial benefits to society, science, and technology. Through ICITACEE 2026, the Department of Electrical Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro, continues to affirm its commitment to supporting research and innovation development in the fields of information technology, computer engineering, and electrical engineering at the international level.
