FINAL PROJECT EXHIBITION FEBRUARY 2026: INTERACTIVE ATMOSPHERE COLORS THE EXHIBITION OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS’ WORK AT DIPONEGORO UNIVERSITY

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Diponegoro University held a Final Project Exhibition (EXPO TA) for students on Friday, February 13, 2026. The event, which took place at the Department of Electrical Engineering, created an interactive academic atmosphere where students presented their research and design results directly to lecturers and visitors.

From early morning, the exhibition area was filled with scientific posters and demonstration equipment. Faculty members and visitors could visit, discuss, and provide feedback on each displayed work, creating a dynamic and communicative scientific atmosphere. The 2026 Final Project Exhibition aims to publish students’ final project results while serving as an open evaluation platform for the academic and technical competencies acquired during their studies. This activity also serves as a platform to strengthen a culture of research and innovation that is applicable and relevant to industry needs and technological developments.

In the exhibition, seven works from various fields of electrical engineering were presented. In the field of electrical power systems, Naywa Wahyu Haighi, Yohanes Satrio Adi Nugroho, and Muhammad Raihan Arrafi presented their final project entitled “Design of a 21 MW Medium Voltage Power Transmission Connection from the Bungah Substation to the JIIPE Industrial Area”. Meanwhile, Jonathan Tambun, Arief Muhammad Vito, and Ghifari Azhar presented a work titled “Design of Potlino 4 and 5 Feeder Networks and Protection System Coordination Design at the PT INALUM Kuala Tanjung Smelter Substation.”

In the field of information systems and digital transformation, Daffa Heri Sofyan and Achmad Afiffulloh presented “Design of a Web-Based Employee Competency Development Planning Information System at Diponegoro University” as a solution for more integrated data management and competency planning.

Innovations based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and automation were also highlighted in this exhibition. Candela Priathadharma and Trio Firmansyah presented “Design and Implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-Based Automatic Clothes Drying Cabinet.” Muhammad Rashanda Alvaro, Abdurachman Sami, and Kenzo Binsar Jesaya S. exhibited “Design and Construction of an IoT-Based Automatic Solar Panel Cleaning System with Output Anomaly Detection and LoRa Remote Communication” to support the optimization of solar panel performance.

In the field of robotics and digital image processing, Pascal Achmad Faisal, Fransesco Jonathan D’A. Napitupulu, and Michael Alfredo Siahaan presented “Color Gripbot Sorter: An Automatic Lemon Sorting System Based on Digital Image Processing with Robot Arm and Conveyor Control.” In addition, Agus Sampurna Bani, Muhammad Farhan, and Gladys Datita N. presented “Design of an Automated System for Monitoring and Controlling Water Quality Parameters in Koi Fish Aquariums Based on IoT” as a solution for real-time water quality monitoring.

Through the 2026 Final Project EXPO, Electrical Engineering students at Diponegoro University demonstrated their readiness to design and implement innovative, solution-oriented, and sustainable technologies. This event is expected to continue as a regular agenda that fosters collaboration, creativity, and tangible contributions from students in technological development at both the national and global levels.
