The prestigious Japan Design & Invention Expo (JDIE) 2019 has been successfully held at the Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel, Tokyo, Japan. This activity was held on Saturday, 15 – Monday, June 17 2019 and was attended by more than 100 teams from various countries such as: Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Sudan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Chengdu, Vietnam, and Canada. With various categories contested, there are categories of IoT, Sport, Electricity, Smart Home, and many more. One of them was represented by Diponegoro University, namely CALIOS TEAM (Rio Agung Prabowo, Nieko Nata Gianza, Rizal Putera Ardana, Hanif Fadhlurrahman, and Rasyita Atmoko) who won achievements:

– Gold Medal for the IoT category

– Gold Medal for the Sport category

– Best International Design Award

– 2 Special Awards from Norton University

– Special Award from Kingdom of Arabia

CALIOS TEAM also received a special invitation from the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan and had the opportunity to meet directly with the Deputy Ambassador of the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. CALIOS TEAM discussed a lot about the tools that have been developed and shared stories about the Japan Design & Invention Expo (JDIE) competition in 2019.
